A "Family" can be any group of minor(s) + guardian(s)
Swimming experience and general comfortability in the water is a must. Snorkeling experience is recommended, but we’re here to teach you if you’re new to it.

Where we will stay:
Fly to Honolulu. Inouye International Airport. HNL
Waikiki, located on the south shore of the island of O'ahu. Waikiki is a neighborhood within Honolulu known for its famous beach and is a primary tourist destination.
As all of our activities are based out of Waikiki, we recommend staying within the region designated on the map (red circle). There are several options for accommodations (including hotels and Airbnb's (book early!). Expect to pay $1k-$3k for 5 nights (depending on family size and preference).
On the west end of Waikiki there is the Ala Moana Shopping Center and the Kewalo Basin Boat Harbor (where we will meet for our boating activities). On the east end of Waikiki is the Zoo and Aquarium (where we will meet on day 2). The distance between the Kewalo Basin Boat Harbor and the Waikiki Aquarium is about 3.5 miles. Waikiki is accessible on foot and navigable by ride shares (i.e.: Uber, Lyft), busses and taxis.
You are also welcome to stay anywhere else on the island, but transportation is not as easily accessible.

"The Hawaii Family Marine Biology Program exceeded our expectations! Brittany was awesome from the very start, with communication and planning. The trip was well thought out and everything went smoothly once we were there. It was so nice having everything planned out and arranged for us. Brittany was also great with the kids, as well as us adults, and so patient and easy going. She was very knowledgeable of the area and Marine Biology. We learned so much, made great new friends, and just had an absolutely amazing time! Can't wait to do it again!"- Laura and son Joshua (13), Cleveland, OH
